Moab 2011

Fun vacation in Moab with Mike's side of the family. Everyone was able to come with the exception of Kimberly and Tyler.

The first day, was just us and the Mortimers. That day we hiked to Corona Arch.

As we were hiking and the arch came into view, Deryn asked, "How do we get back? Do we come back the same way or do we keep hiking past it?"

I replied we would turn around and come back.
She then says, "I will wait here then, I can see it from here."

Needless to say, it took some convincing to get her to the arch. The end result was this!

An exhausted Deryn!

Not surprised to 'round the corner and find this!

The final hike we did was the Fiery Furnace. You have to have reservations, and only a limited number of people are allowed in per day. We were disappointed it was raining on the day we had made reservations for. Since they did not offer refunds we decided we were going anyway. We drove all over town looking for rain ponchos and eventually found them. About 30 minutes into our hike the rain stopped and the day was beautiful!

Following the River bed to get back to the beginning.
