April updates

Yes! Now we are officially to April updates! This month we:

• bought a condo
• went to St. George
• went to Moab
• went to Pirates Cove (Boulder City NV)
• celebrated Deryn's birthday
• celebrated my birthday

Wow that's a lot of stuff! I went to a class at Women's Conference advising us to make sure we have "white space" on our calendar every week - Apparently I didn't do so well at this in April. Something scheduled every day!

So, we will start with the condo.

We were saving our money for a car, but then Mike's sister had the brilliant idea we should all go in on a condo. We enjoy the extra money our duplex brings in, so we figured why not? Especially since this would immediately make a profit. Plus, on the off season we have a vacation place!

So, as we ate peach pie, we brainstormed company names, formed an LLC, and put myself, Christine, and Stephanie as the owners.
Next we made an offer on a condo in St. George, which the owner accepted because it was a cash offer.
We went through St. George on our way to Moab (a little out of the way), did a final walk through and spent the night in our new condo.
The next week we all transferred money, Christine signed two documents, and Wow! We own a condo!
That was way too easy! Amazing how many documents you eliminate if you don't need a loan!

The kitchen and dining area. The wood doors next to the fridge are supposed to hide the laundry area.... that is the part currently creating a challenge. It is not wired for the amount of electricity the washer and dryer need. As soon as we get that fixed we can rent this out.
