Our theme was Christmas, Past, Present, and Future.
For past, we interviewed Mom, Dad & Grandma... everyone submitted questions and then we filmed the answers to have forever & ever! We had fun learning about first dates, first jobs, etc...
Present, was a present auction... everyone had to bring an item to auction off that represented something they liked. We had a huge variety of items, from favorite treats, parts of collections, and even a homemade pie.
People earned BYG BUCKS throughout the night by participating in various activities.
For Future, we posted a large sheet of paper on the wall. On the left hand side we marked feet & inches and measured all the kids. Next year we will see how much everyone grew! The adults wanted to be measured too, but most of those measurements are not accurate as the men were all trying to appear to be the tallest - there was a little bit of cheating going on.
On the right side of the paper, everyone wrote a goal they hope to accomplish by the end of 2014. This roll of paper is now our time capsule which we will bring to the 2014 Christmas Party.
This is also how we found out Kimberly and Tyler were expecting, since Kimberly wrote "have another baby" as her goal.
And finally, we created a photo booth in the spare bedroom and had Deryn and Megan in charge of taking pictures...
