Now maybe I can catch up this blog!
This is the cottage we rented to stay in. It was right across the street from the temple. We were able to watch the Manti Pageant from the upstairs deck and avoid the crowd! It was nice to sit and cuddle with my girls as we watched the pageant. It was fun to see them recognize things we had read in the scriptures.
The kids slept outside on the deck.
Deryn and Addie climbing in a big tree at the lake. The original plan was to take the kids swimming at the Rec Center. But, as luck would have it, someone lost their lunch in the pool just before we arrived. The pool was evacuated and closed for the day. We went to the lake instead.

Here the girls are being "Water Princesses" or "Fashion Models of the Sea" You know, they never would have wrapped themselves in water plants had I suggested it. In fact, when we initially pulled up to the lake, you could see a huge section of water covered by these water plants. We immediately heard "Eewww! This lake is gross! Look at all that moss. This isn't going to be fun...."
A little while later, there they were, having the time of their lives!
After a while, a canoe was available to rent. We were hoping for paddle boats, but most people from the pool came to the lake, so there were quite a few people hoping to rent paddle boats.
That is some strange paddling....
